Clonie Not Coming Back for Day Two in Adelaide

With a prize pool of $644K and a player roster including WSOP Champion Tony Hachem, the ’09 ANZPT Melbourne winner Chris Levick, poker babe Clonie Gowen, and the ’09 Aussie Millions Champion Stewart Scott, the chip leader at the end of the seven levels of play was Darwin Roy Hills, he amassed a 118K chip stack and will take on the remaining field of 126 players.

Clonie will not be returning for day two as her tournament life was cut short by Derek Cheung. Both players were involved in an all in hand and after seeing a board that ran 5-7-8-A-J Cheung showed pocket sevens for a flopped set. Gowen decided to muck her cards and looked for the nearest exit.
